Synopsis:.
Pleasant conditions are expected through Wednesday. It will still be mild as high pressure over the Southeast begins to weaken. Readings will be several degrees above the average high of the mid 50s. Mainly sunny skies are expected today with more clouds for Wednesday.
The next chance of rain will be Wednesday night into Thursday morning as low pressure swings through the region from the South and West. This has the chance to be the most significant rainfall since August! One half to one inch of rain is possible.
The coldest airmass of the season so far will move into the area Thursday night and Friday. At this time low pressure over the Northeast will be very slow to move. Cold air will be drawn into the system. Another round of rain is possible which may go over to wet snow inland for a time. There will be a gusty wind adding to the bite.
The weekend will be windy and chilly with sun and clouds.
Dry conditions are anticipated through midweek. Please refrain from starting outdoor fires as the fire growth threat remains.
Stay tuned.
