Synopsis:
High pressure will begin to nose in from the North and West today. This will bring our temperatures down in steps through Saturday. Both days will feature abundant sunshine. Today’s highs will still be several degrees above the average high of the upper 50s. Saturday’s readings will be just below average for a change! A nip in the air.
There is a chance of showers late Sunday afternoon and night with an approaching front from the West. This doesn’t look significant.
Veterans’ Day will feature partly sunny skies and mild temperatures once again. Tuesday will be fair with pleasant readings.
Friday will be the 40th consecutive day without measurable rainfall at Newark. The area drought continues to worsen. 20% of NJ is now under an extreme drought. 76% of the state is under a severe drought. New York is now under a moderate drought. Conserve water.
A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Friday for the entire tri-state area. Low humidity and gusty winds have the potential to cause wild fire spread. Please use caution with flammables.
Stay tuned.
