Synopsis:
A clipper will move in from the Great Lakes today. Areas of light rain and wet snow will break out during the morning. Inland snow is expected with an accumulation likely later today and tonight (map above). Intermittent light snow is likely Sunday night even at the coast. At this time it doesn’t look like a big deal for the urban corridor. The first accumulations of the season is always is a news maker!
The clipper will deepen and move off the coast Monday. Leftover areas of light snow will greet us in the morning. Clouds will give way to sun during the afternoon.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature sunshine and chilly readings as another high pressure system affects our region from Canada. Readings will be a few degrees below the average high of the mid 40s.
Low pressure over the Western Carolina’s will influence our weather on Thursday. Cloudy skies will give way to afternoon rain. At this time it looks like this storm will be a rainmaker for our area. So much chatter and hype about a snowstorm. These wish casters really need to stop! Enjoy your Sunday.
Stay tuned.
