On & Off Rain, Fz. Rain, Sleet & Snow Well North. Late Day Sun…

Synopsis:

It will all depend on your location this morning on what type of precipitation you’ll be experiencing today. Southern areas will have on and off rain. Closer to the City any freezing rain will go over to plain rain this morning. Farther inland freezing rain, sleet and snow (well North) will fall. A minor accumulation of ice and sleet will occur in the nearby suburbs of the City. Well North several inches of snow and sleet are expected.

Please use caution where temperatures are below freezing. Icy conditions exist. The precipitation will end by midday to early afternoon with some sunshine expected some time later during the afternoon. Highs will rebound close to 40º in many areas. Well into the 40s to the South, the 30s to the North.

Cold high pressure will work into the region on tonight and Saturday. All readings will be below freezing and icy spots will materialize in untreated areas.

Saturday will be bright but cold.

Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with seasonal readings (average high is 43º).

An Arctic front will move in Monday with readings remaining in the 20s despite the sunshine.

Tuesday will feature not as harsh readings under a mix of sun and clouds.

Stay tuned.
