Synopsis:
Winter’s arrival today will be a seasonal one. The average high temperature is 43º. The season will officially arrive at 10:59AM EST. That’s when the sun’s direct rays are over the Tropical of Capricorn. Sunshine will give way to some clouds.
Scattered showers are possible tonight as a coastal storm grazes the area.
On Wednesday the coastal storm will stay far enough offshore to spare the region significant precipitation and wind. Isolated coastal showers cannot be ruled out early in the morning, otherwise the sun will return.
A shot of colder air will arrive on Thursday as Canadian high pressure works in. At least skies will be bright.
It looks like we’ll have to wait another year for the possibility of a white Christmas. Christmas Eve will feature sunny skies with readings above average. Christmas Day looks mild with a chance of a shower. I’m just the messenger!
