Synopsis:.
This Presidents’ Holiday Weekend will go down as one of the warmest in history of the tri-state area. Yesterday temperatures reached the mid 60s and today will be a carbon copy. Very warm air has settled over the Eastern states with high pressure off the Southeast coast pumping up the unprecedented April-like readings. Record highs are possible today. The record for Central Park is 66º set in 1997-that maybe in jeopardy.
A cool front will move through tonight. It’ll be moisture starved so not much in the way of showers is expected. Temperatures will come down, but still be well above seasonal averages. The normal high for this date is 44º.
Looking down the pike our balmy weather will continue with no Arctic air in sight.
